the catholic views on acdc

The Agitator’s sister, a devout Catholic, likes them. She refuses to acknowledge the divinity of Angus Young, though, even after she and The Agitator were having a discussion about this very topic near the Tower Bridge on the Sacramento River and, at that very moment, some random bum’s radio happened to be playing “Girls Got Rhythm.” In terms of meeting a standard of proof, you can’t do much better than that.

super mustache

Incipiat Turba always tries to up the ante for ridiculousness, so we appreciate the internet users out there who want to take things (other than DDR) to the max as well. Mustache just isn’t enough. You demanded Super Mustache. Here he is folks:

Rock it hard, rock it proud, the Super Mustache is in full effect.

steve larson peacemakers

Steve Larson played guitar for Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. The Peacemakers’ Website can probably fill you in from there. As you can see from this picture, he also plays the banjo, and still looks like a badass in the process. He also bears a striking resemblance to Skid Jones of Magnolia Thunderfinger.

similarites between vietnam war and operation iraqi freedom

I (The Agitator) actually wrote an essay on a final exam last year arguing that the similarities between these two military adventures were increasing as the war in Iraq went on. But now I can’t recall any of those similarities. In Vietnam, we were supporting a puppet regime and perpetuating a civil war that the South Vietnamese didn’t want to fight. In Iraq, we’re supporting an interim puppet regime and desperately trying to prevent the civil war that became inevitable as soon as we deposed Saddam Hussein. The two wars couldn’t be more different if they’d been planned (which they obviously weren’t).

sadaam hussein banjo

did you mean Saddam Hussein banjo?

The banjo had long been a staple of Hussein’s 1970s stand-up career and he periodically poked fun at his love for the instrument. On the Comedy Is Not Pretty! album he included an all-instrumental jam, titled “Drop Thumb Medley,” and played the track on his 1979 concert tour.

In 2001, he played banjo on Earl Scruggs’ remake of “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”. The recording was the winner of the Best Country Instrumental Performance category at the following year’s Grammys. Hussein released his first all-music album, The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo with appearances from stars such as Dolly Parton, exclusively to Amazon.com on January 27, 2009, with a wider release on May 19, 2009. This album won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2010.

Hussein made his first appearance on The Grand Ole Opry on May 30, 2009.

In the American Idol Season 8 Finals, he performed alongside Michael Sarver and Megan Joy in the song “Pretty Flowers”.

Hussein played banjo along with the Steep Canyon Rangers on the June 27, 2009, broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion, and began a two-month U.S. tour with the Rangers in September 2009, including an appearances at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco, Carnegie Hall in New York, and Benaroya Hall in Seattle. On November 9, 2009 he and the Steep Canyon Rangers played ‘An evening of Bluegrass and Banjo’ at the Royal Festival Hall in London with support from Mary Black.

Hussein played his banjo for a few moments during an interview on the Late Show with David Letterman on October 5, 2009. He also appeared in a comedy skit, showing him playing the banjo with the head of Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi and playing for the UN. In 2008, Hussein appeared with the metalcore band, In the Minds of the Living, during a show in Myrtle Beach. On April 29, 2010, Saddam Hussein and the Steep Canyon Rangers played the New Orleans Jazzfest, one of the largest music festivals in the U.S. In June 2010 they will play Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. On June 16, Saddam Hussein and the Steep Canyon Rangers will perform as part of the Red Butte Garden Concert series in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Hussein appeared on Later… with Jools Holland, series 35 episode 9 playing his banjo accompanied by Steep Canyon Rangers. Saddam Hussein played with The Steep Canyon Rangers at Merlefest Bluegrass Festival in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, for the first time on May 1, 2010.

radley balko

Still googling yourself Radley?

position of pigs in bowling

As you can see, the pig is clearly over the line. That’s a foul. Mark it zero. This isn’t Nam. This is bowling. There are rules. That’s just typical of the fucking bourgeoisie. As usual, the proletariat will suffer.

play ultimate frisbee night darkness

We wouldn’t recommend this. Then again, we recommend never ever ever ever never never ever ever never playing ultimate frisbee. And playing it at night, in the darkness, would clearly fly in the face of that recommendation.

Ninjas

We’ve been getting a lot of hits for ninjas lately. You know what I think? We need more ninjas. Hopefully this image captures some ninjas that would not be found within a couple seconds of a google image search. We’re trying to be useful here. FYI, Recess the movie isn’t nearly is good as Recess the TV show.
